Sacramento has produced exactly two culturally relevant artists. First, erotic performer, film maker and post modernist Sasha Grey. Granted, not everything she's done works on a high-art plane, but porn that is cerebral, is fucking sexy. The other is hardcore act and pot smoking maniacs Trash Talk. I have a special place in my heart for Trash Talk because they are from Sacramento. Having spent my formative years of 2-12 there, the fact that anything cool could come from such a bizarre place kind of blows my feeble, overwrought mind. The band is totally intense, frantic, violent, spastic and a force to be reckoned with. With a new album on the horizon, it's time to get fucking psyched.
